Conservatorship Basic Elements, Laws, and Most Common Questions & Answers

Lynette Edwards is the District Public Guardian for the Public Guardianship for the Elderly Program and covers 16 counties in East Tennessee. She has been the Public Guardian since 2017 under ETHRA and the East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disability. Lynette has worked in Aging services since 2005, having served as the Long-Term Care Ombudsman for East Tennessee, and as Managing Attorney for the Legal Assistance for the Elderly Program. She graduated from Harding University (B.S. in Public Administration), and from The University of Tennessee College of Law. Lynette is a Rule 31 Civil Mediator, and has a passion for working with the elderly. She is a National Certified Guardian and maintains memberships in the Conservatorship Association of Tennessee, Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.
